- Adult Men’s 7v7 Flag Football Rules
View Tournament Rules
- Ages: 18 and over.
- Format: 7-on-7 adult men’s flag football.
- Game Clock: Two 20-minute halves with a running clock.
- Halftime: 5 minutes.
- Timeouts: One timeout per team, per half. Unused timeouts do not carry over.
- Rush Rule: Defensive rushers must start at least 7 yards from the line of scrimmage.
- First Downs: Standard field/league first-down markers apply.
- Scoring: Touchdowns are worth 6 points. Extra points follow standard flag football rules.
- Quarterback: May pass according to standard 7v7 rules. Once the ball is handed off or lateraled, normal rushing rules apply.
- Interceptions: Live and may be returned.
- Fumbles: The ball is dead where it hits the ground. No fumble recoveries.
- No Tackling: Players must pull the ball carrier’s flag. No wrapping up, tackling, or excessive contact.
- Blocking: No dangerous, excessive, or blindside blocking.
- Ball Carrier: No flag guarding, stiff-arms, or intentionally preventing a defender from pulling the flag.
- Penalties: Standard flag football penalties apply, including holding, illegal contact, pass interference, offsides, and unsportsmanlike conduct.
- Sportsmanship: Fighting, threatening behavior, or repeated unsportsmanlike conduct may result in immediate ejection.
- Other Rules: Unless specifically modified above, regular 7v7 flag football rules apply.
